Business Info

Business Name

What do you do?

Localicious is a new business selling fresh, healthy, locally-sourced lunches and dinners from food trucks. We have direct relationships with local, organic farmers to source premium, farmers-market-quality ingredients. Our food is all about featuring the best ingredients of each season.

How many sides of the package require graphics design?

We're looking for an eye-catching design for the large side of the truck.

List the size requirement(s) for your package graphics design

We're looking for a design for the driver's side of the truck. The main area where the graphics will be is roughly 16 feet by 6 feet (see image), but you can extend to any part of the side of the truck.

Note: We plan to expand the design around the entire truck, but that is not part of this project.

We want a bold statement, although we do pay by the square foot for the sticker material, so covering less space is a benefit.

Target Audience

What is your industry?

Mobile food service

Describe the target audience for your package graphics

Busy urban professionals that care about eating well but demand convenience. Our primary target customers are people working in office parks and downtown business districts that would grab a take-out lunch or take-home dinner.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your package graphics design?

We want the truck to be eye-catching and get people to want to know what we're up to.

The design doesn't need to be literal with fruits, vegetables and farms. We're looking for something more design-y, urban, edgy, fun, hip, maybe retro. We like organic shapes, something dynamic. It would be cool if the logo is incorporated as an integral part of the design (although the logo doesn't have to be huge if that looks funny).

Style and Concept

What package graphics design styles do you like?

We like our friend's truck, Liba Falafel, but we wouldn't want to look just like her either... http://www.libasf.com/locate.html

We like roosters and goats, but we don't want to be cartoon-y, but it's not a negative to leave them out, we want you to have creative freedom.

What colors do you want to see in your package graphics design?

The truck is white, so please use a white background. The logo is red and black. Adding other colors that work with the logo would be great, be creative.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your package graphics design?

We don't want photos.

What adjectives should best describe your package graphics design?

We are looking for something that feels:
- real/trusted/authentic/down home
- hip/modern/urban/edgy (but not too edgy, remember, professionals are our core customer)
- warm/fun/inviting but not basic or generic
- a little retro/some reference to country/farms/food
- clean, relatively simple
- rustic but high quality and fresh

What content must be included in the package graphics design?

Please include:
- our logo
- our web address: www.eatlocalicious.com
- a phone number

The font used in our logo is pupcat, and the font for additional text is teen.

If you would like to include a tagline, you can use "seasonally inspired street food".

Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
