List the size requirement(s) for your print design

The images will be used in various sized books (by scaling the image up or down). The sizes in height x width, measured in millimetres) are:

105 X 110 ; 120 X 110 ; 160 X 140; 200 X 150 ; 260 X 210

They may also be placed on a thin strip of print of the following sizes (height x width)
279 X 115; 370 X 115. This would be done either by placing the image on one small part of the strip or by presenting only a slice of the image. Either is OK.

The target audience is people over 18 who are interested in devleoping ideas for use in business.

Idea generation is fun
Idea generation is not reserved for a select "brainy" few - all sorts of people should try it

Style and Concept

What print design styles do you like?

It should be modern looking and relatively simple. And in keeping with the clean look of our logo (see attachment)

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

If illustrations are used it would be good that the colours used are in harmony with the colours used for the cover designs of each book. These are provided as an attachment.

The images will be used as chapter title pages in the idea books

What content must be included in the print design?

The title of the 4 books in the series are:
BRAINSTORMER (pink)- this is about group brainstorming
PROBLEM SOLVER (blue) - this is about problem solving either by groups or individuals
BUSINESS INNOVATOR (yellow) - this is about helping individuals in business look for opportunities and then create, select and implement great ideas.
THOUGHT PROMPTS (green)- this provides a large number of tools to help people in business think of new ideas for products, services, processes etc.

Below is listed a chapter title page selected from each book for which the competition entry should be provided:

BRAINSTORMER (4 images in total would eventually be required)

Selected Chapter Title page - "Brainstorm Meeting Basics" -this is about the basic procedure for running an effective brainstorming meeting in a group.
Other chapters in the book cover: The environment in which the meeting is held, Tools for helping think of ideas during brainstorm meetings, extra help to rsolve conflicy and overcome idea block.

BUSINESS INNOVATOR (4 images in total would eventually be required)

Selected Chapter Title Page - "Look Around!" - this chapter is focussed on helping people find opportunities for their business by conducting an analysis of their current business and the envionment in which it operates).
Other chapters in the book cover: thinking up new ideas for products and services, selecting the best ideas, implementing the ideas.

PROBLEM SOLVER (6 images in total would eventually be required)

Selected Chapter Title Page - "Describe the problem" - this chapter is focussed on making sure people fully understand the problem they want to solve.
Other chapters in the book cover: looking at ways to redfine the problem, looking at ways they can visually describe the problem, considering the problem from other perspectives, solving the problem and judging the problem.

THOUGHT PROMPTS (4 images in total would eventually be required)

Selected Chapter Title Page - "Get Inspired" - this chapter uses sources of inspiration such as nature, names of products, services, etc to help inspire new ideas for products and services).
Other chapters in the book cover: ways to reconfigure a subject to create changes or improvements, use of random words to help generate new ideas, other sources of inspiration to help a person improve or change a product, service or process.
