LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Westgate Products manufactures plastic containers for the cookie, candy and other snack markets. You can see our products at the following website http://www.westgateproducts.com/elixirpr....
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Typically our customers provide their own graphics and we print their design on our packaging. A new customer has approached us and asked us to develop creative designs for their 2009 holiday cookie tubs. They need two designs, one to be a Christmas/Holiday design and the other a nativity design. Both designs used by our customer last year are attached for your reference. Our companies print capabilities allow us to print true 4 color graphics so we have the opportunity to provide much more vibrant and detailed designs. The designs they have used in the past (as provided) have tended to be simpler and/or cartoon like. The customer envisions our process as a way to enhance and sophisticate their graphics.
The customer does not depict any of their cookie products in their designs.
I will share the presented designs with my customer and ultimately they will select the design to go with. The first part of the project will cover the general design. After our customer selects their design choice the winning designer will need to work with us to incorporate the customer logo, brand name, nutritional information etc into the finished project (this way each designer need not be burdened with this aspect of the project).
I have provided a file that outlines the format the artwork needs to be provided in as well a file that defines the dimensional template of the package size that the artwork should be sized to. It is important that the final designs follow these guidelines.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our customers consumers are relatively loyal users of these holiday cookies which have been sold in retail markets for decades. I believe their customers represent a fairly middle class working demographic. Accordingly their customer might have some brand loyalty to the containers long running design simplicity. As much as my customer would like to enhance their graphics we might be cautious not to make two dramatic of a change based upon the above observation. Any designer is welcome to submit a design that would be more consistent with previous designs as well as designs that represent a more dramatic change.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
I think this question is addressed in the above overviews.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
I consider the project to be clean sheet of paper beyond the comments above.
