What do you do?
This is a two day fundraiser featuring celebrity speakers and entertainers. We are raising money to benefit the patients of Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz CA.
How many pages of print design do you need?
Two key designs - the save the date card and invitation. The email blast and business card can utilize the save the date design.
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
1. Save the Date card 6" X 8.75" full bleed. Double sided. Full color both sides. Template in documents.
2. Save the Date email blast. GIF or JPG format (optimal size- 600pix wide x 800pix tall @ 72 dpi) same content as Save the Date card.
3. Business Card full color, both sides, 3.5 X 3.5, template in documents. Same content as save the date card minus committee list.
4. Invitation 7" X 10" folds to 7" X 5" full bleed. Double sided. Full color both sides. Invitation should build on the Save the Date design and not be an exact copy. Templates are here - select based on vertical or horizontal design: http://www.psprint.com/creative/download...
You can design vertical or horizontal, up to you. No need to leave room for postage information for the invitations because theyll go into an envelope. Template just for size and bleed.
5. Reply card for invitation - three panel full bleed. Double sided. Full color both sides.
I'll pick the designer based on the cover art for the save-the-date post card, we can then complete the project with the other content provided. I don't expect all participants to create all the pieces.

Describe the target audience for your print design
The target audience is a mature, highly educated, philanthropic group. Design should be fun, classy, unexpected. Lots of doctors and community leaders. Ages 35 - 80+
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
The overall event theme is "Images"
The overarching design should feature circles (because of the circular design of the O Arm) and images that represent the event, Candid Camera and David Garibaldi's art.
I would like to see the art represent two complimentary designs to represent each of the days of the event connected with the overarching circle design.
The design needs to communicate these elements:
Friday's event features Candid Camera's host Peter Funt. The show portrayed images of people caught in funny situations. Images of smiling and laughter.
Saturday's event features performance artist David Garibaldi (America's Got Talent). He is a performance painter, his paint flies everywhere as he speed paints to music. He creates art images on canvas.
The two day event is called Holidays d'Eleganz and we're in our 30th+ year. This year we are raising money for the O Arm imaging machine which will help with neurological surgeries by providing clear images of traumas in the spine and brain.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
I am looking for a bold design with a lot of detail and depth. A design that really unites our two days of events in an unexpected and totally fun way. The design should not only catch people's eye but then also hold their attention as they look at the detail.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
Bold bright colors, like jewel tones.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
pastels, too much red, gold
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Unique, eye catching, bold, elegant, needs to combine the modern art of David Garibaldi with the classic nostalgia of Candid Camera and the high tech O Arm.
How will you use the print design?
Save the date cards, invitations, promotional business cards.
