What do you do?
This is a personal interest that I have in Grundig vintage stereos from the 1950s and 1960s. I also have an interest in vintage posters with the style of the 1950s and 1960s.
How many pages of print design do you need?
1
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
24" x 36" for printing as a poster to be framed.
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Advertising and Marketing
Describe the target audience for your print design
Target audience is myself and other vintage stereo and poster enthusiasts.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
I'd like to communicate how cool vintage stereos are, from a design and sound perspective, compared to current stereos. These are pieces of furniture that produce a superior sound that were built with vacuum tubes. These stereos, built in the 1950s and 1960s, support FM, AM, turntables and even shortwave stations that are broadcast from around the world, which means that you can hear foreign language broadcasts from other countries.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
I've added some sample vintage poster images that I like to the shared files section of this project.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
brown, black, possibly red or gold (i.e. I like the vibrance of the vintage posters that I've added to the project)
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
pink, teal
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
vintage, warm, colorful
How will you use the print design?
I plan to have this printed out as a poster to be framed for my wall.
What content must be included in the print design?
The only strong preference is the word GRUNDIG (not necessarily in all caps). I can imagine that a stylized version of a stereo like I've provided as an image, likely will be used, but I don't want to make that a requirement at this point. If there are creative ideas of words that could replace the brand name grundig, I am open to seeing those ideas.
