Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
See attached positioning-for-change.pdf. Note "roadmap" tagline and subsequent highway/roads graphics, this is the general idea behind our theme(s). We DO NOT want to copy this. It is our opinion that this is too flashy and intrusive. We like the general organization and idea behind placement of graphics, though we would like more text on each page, with less emphasis on graphics.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
Blue, white, grey, black
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Understated, conservative, not overly-flashy. Elegant, sophisticated.
How will you use the print design?
To be filled with paragraphs that make up a whitepaper on an important issue related to hedge funds. Would like it to be adjustable to different topics (ability to switch out pictures easily).
What content must be included in the print design?
One full whitepaper. 8 major sections. 2-4 paragraphs per section. 70-125 words per paragraph. Several small charts/images. Would like three columns of text per page, with the ability to insert a chart/image within the width of the column.
Theme/title is "Records Management". Would like to see some graphics relating to papers, folders, filing cabinets, documents, and potentially financial services (charting/trading floors) etc. Should not draw readers eye from text. Should look good in color or black and white.
1)Need full cover-page with company logo (see attached) and theme/title highlighted. Should have large graphic(s) relating to theme.
2)Need 1pg SIMPLE brochure-esque summary page that we can place executive summary on. As easy as central paragraph with a graphic or two around the edges.
3)Need some number of body pages with room for roughly 2000-2500 words, preferably in 3-column format. Can simply place a graphic or two on first body page, rotate location of graphics for subsequent pages. Emphasis is on the text. Graphics act as a way of breaking the wall of text.
4)Need one end-page for short company About-Me section and references.
End-result should obviously be editable regarding input of text. Placeholder text is sufficient for initial design.
