Target Audience

What is your industry?

Education and Universities

Describe the target audience for your print design

We strive to appeal to a diverse readership of young to older adults of any cultural background, gender, lifestyle, etc.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

The course provides students with both the common and complex issues related to human behavior in the workplace as it relates to employee relations, and an examination of relationships among unions, workers, management, laws and government regulation.

If we were to include an image we would want it to convey a collaborative working relationship between employees and management. A historical image showing issues in the workplace might work as well. We do NOT want an image of striking workers or angry/dissatisfied workers. We are open to using an abstract image or having a text only cover.

Style and Concept

What print design styles do you like?

We like innovative treatments that transform straightforward concepts. The cover should be clean and modern, but most of all engaging. The cover should convey a number of things, but without being cluttered.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

We are open to a color palette of your choosing.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?

We are open to a color palette of your choosing.

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

Modern, engaging

How will you use the print design?

The design will be printed on a small number of print books, but the font cover portion will be used as the landing page of the e-book.

What content must be included in the print design?

The cover must include the title and author's name. The spine of the cover will need to include the title of the text and the last name of the author. The back cover will need to include the book ISBN (there will be a color ISBN, and a black and white ISBN) which we will provide.
