Simply Greeting Cards
What do you do?
Simply Greeting cards is a first of its kind app, available in the spring 2011, that will allow users to browse a wide selection of greeting cards, select a design from a virtual shelf/rack/display, add a photo/note and a mail real greeting cards, envelop & stamp in all, instantly from their iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. We'll print, stamp and mail cards the next morning.
Simply Postcards, now available on Apple mobile devices and directly from www.simplypostcards.net, allows users to share any image or photo as a real postcard. As a special offer to crowdSPRING designers, we invite you to send five free Simply Postcards to friends and family. Use the promo code: crowdspring5
How many pages of print design do you need?
List the size requirement(s) for your print design
This project is for one iPad page with the dimensions 1024 x 768, LANDSCAPE format. It must be in landscape! We envision four to six greeting card thumbnails per row (the attached thumbnails are designed for a row with four cards, but you may go smaller). The biggest stipulation here is that the user is able to easily decipher the design while browsing. The number of rows isn't as important as the user will be able to scroll down to view more cards. Example thumbnails are attached for use in your design.
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your print design
Simply Greeting cards will target both consumer and business users with its unique collection of card designs. iPhone users are tech savvy, split roughly 55% Male / 45% female and are more affluent that other smart phone users (40% have 100K+ incomes).
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
We're looking to create a "wow" experience with this page - set the standard for what shopping for a greeting card on the iPad should feel like.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?
The colors and materials you choose to construct your virtual card shelf or display are up to you. It should either be a modern greeting card rack or a retro looking greeting card rack.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Simple, clean, but catchy. We're really looking for something that both displays the cards in a very simple and clean manner, but that "wows" the users and creates an experience that he/she will want to both share and come back time after time.
How will you use the print design?
This page will be home base for our Greeting Cards app. The user will browse designs and then choose a card by tapping it.
What content must be included in the print design?
The Greeting Card Shelf/Rack/Display should consume 90-95% of the page.
We'd also like a thin toolbar (approx 75 pixels) at the top of the page that contains the following:
Left indent: a button that reads, "Download New Cards"
In the Middle of the toolbar: static text that reads, "Simply Greeting Cards - Choose a Category"
Right indent (in respective order), the follow three buttons: "Account" "Social" and "More Info."
