This first project will lead to two more covers in a trilogy, which I plan to release later this year. It's a light paranormal cozy mystery series, meaning it's appeal to readers is in the quirky setting, characters, and situations that unfold while solving the crime. The paranormal elements in the book are slight, and do not overwhelm the plot.
The first book is titled Death in the Campground and features Jennifer Lanzetti, the main character in the series, who is a travel writer on assignment touring and writing about the US in a fifth-wheel trailer (this is a type of travel trailer that overhangs a pickup truck's bed while towing).
She's traveling with her two black Pit Bull terriers, and after getting hit on the head she is able to hear her dogs talking. They help her solve the crime of a fellow camper being poisoned and I'd like to see them on the cover, if possible.
Jennifer is of Italian descent, with long wavy black hair. She's in her late twenties and she's curvy. The series name, which I'd also like on the cover, is Jennifer Lanzetti Mysteries, Book One.
For inspiration, I'm looking for a design with similar appeal and branding elements as the following series:
-- Angie Fox's Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries
-- Leighton Dobbs' Silver Hollow Paranormal Cozy Mystery series
-- Zoe Arden's A Haven Wicth Cozy Mystery series
-- Yasmine Galenorn's Chintz and China series
-- Annabel Chase's Spellbound Paranormal Cozy Mystery series
Please include the moniker New York Times Bestselling Author above my name. I've also hit the USA Today list if you'd like to include both (although my other paranormal series uses the one).
Since branding elements are very important to me, I'd like to to see something on the cover that can carry from one book to the next that includes the series name, or a symbol, like two dogs heads to represent the Pit Bulls, named Rex and Regina.
I do not have a book description ready for the back cover at this time. Any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Who are your readers?
Mostly North American women, aged 30-60. They like to read light-hearted fiction to help them escape from life's daily demands. They want a flawed character they can relate to, and a fun premise they can get lost in.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your readers with this design?
Light-hearted and fun! But bedsides that, I'd like to see the setting (campground), the main character, and the two dogs communicated in the design.
Style and Content
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Any and all -- try to avoid pastels, but I'm not against seeing "lighter" covers.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your design?
Same as above, I'm okay with all colors.
Describe the style(s) you like (traditional, modern, etc.)
I like lighter-feeling covers for this genre. Not overly serious, or dark (and this dos not mean color, it's okay to have a darker-colored cover and still not convey a dark feel). Modern cozy-mystery covers tend to grab more readers, whether they are cartoon/vector images or layered photographs and effects.
What content must be included in your design?
Title: Death in the Campground
Series name: Jennifer Lanzetti Mysteries
Book Numbering: Book One
Author name: C.J. Ellisson
Author Moniker: New York Times Bestselling Author
Series Branding -- be it fonts, embellishments, logo, or layout, please be aware whatever is used will carry to the next cover design in the series. ** I've included the logo I designed for the series. I'm okay if you create one of your own, or don't use it, it was just an idea I had and wanted to include it.
