There is a long list of small print credits at the bottom and I will provide that. You've seen the type. For now you can put blah blah blah.
Other than that we are not married to anything. I might like the idea of having a row of still shots from the film as they have in the Little Miss Sunshine poster. That is a good poster. That is the kind of movie this is. Juno. That kind of thing.
The files I've included are ones that my friend and I did - and I like them both, they just don't quite look pro. Hints of amateur around the edges. I want something like this but.. better. This should be a Fox Searchlight release and needs a poster than makes it look like it is.
Also I'd like some girls in it! This is a rock and roll love story. Boy loves bad girl - ignores the good girl... (until the end). We need some element of sexy here. Its about a quirky unicycle-riding, campus radio disc jockey who manages indie rock bands in Austin. But its not all about him. Its about his relationship with a good girl and a bad girl and rock and roll.
I might upload some more files as we go along.
I know this award is way too low for what we are asking for. But we are indie filmmakers and that is what we have. Hopefully whoever designs this poster will be cool enough to go ahead with us and design print ads and a bus wrap. We are releasing the film with a bus tour of towns that it is going to play in. A 40 foot entertainer coach covered in Campus Radio graphics. Looking for a graphic artist who will stay with us through the run of this film. Never working for free but always working a little on the skinny. (Like the rest of us.) (I just went and added another $50 to the award amount - after much wringing of hands. Just for you. And just so we could qualify for the yellow "ok" status as opposed to the red "low" status.)
I'm all open to chatting about this. Any questions just ask away. I can upload more still shots but I don't want to make anyone feel like they have to use still shots at this point. Right now we need to settle on a concept for the poster and come in and add details as we go along.
We were trying to come up with tag lines recently and we decided the best is, "A rock and roll movie about love and forgiveness and big titties". Unfortunately we can't use that but if we could we probably would. That kinda sums it up.
Thank you so much y'all, in advance, for anyone willing to take a stab at it.
Cheers,
aj
