Let me tell you about us.
This project is for a very large insurance company that is trying to gain customers in California for their auto insurance business. They are a new name for the people in California. They have been very dry and type-driven in their communications so far and are looking to be much more creative and "out there".
Here is what we need:
We need ideas for outdoor billboards for Southern California.
Our target audience is:
Hundreds of thousands of people will drive by these billboards. Obviously, the target therefore is very general--pretty much everybody in Southern California.
We like these designs:
You may have seen the GEICO lizzard on billboards and TV commercials. They're not great boards but they reinforce the brand. We don't have a brand to reinforce, so we need to build our awareness on creative firepower.
Our design absolutely must have:
The message is very simple: Save up to $364 on your car insurance. Don't worry about the name of the company--just put in XXXX where you want the name to appear and leave room for 1-800-XXX-XXX. What we're really looking for is ANY creative way to get across our message. Any color is good, though they are using a blue background now. Whatever you come up with, the files need to be prepared in such a way that we expand the artwork up to 14'X48'.
Things we dont like or don't need for this project or other things to avoid using, doing, seeing, etc.
Since they're using all type TV spots now, we'd prefer NOT to see an all-type execution, but are open to smart copy, if you want to go that way. Photography is great if you have a visual idea that needs it, as long as the photo is royalty-free. But honestly, ANYTHING GOES!
