LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Andrew Young and Kabir Sehgal have written a book entitled "Walk in My Shoes."
About the book:
A top aide to Martin Luther King, Jr. and one of historys most important civil rights leaders, Andrew Young has witnessed history and made his own. For years, he has been mentoring his godson, Kabir Sehgal, in correspondence and conversation. This book encapsulates that mentoring, and presents Youngs thoughts and meditations on such important topics as race, civil rights, and the American Dream. Its a living Tuesdays with Morrie, an inspirational and inter-generational discourse that addresses issues of race, justice and leadership. "This book is my attempt to humbly pass along a few anecdotes, life lessons, and insights to prepare you for the long journey ahead," Young says.
Andrew Young is an American politician, diplomat, and pastor from Georgia who has served as mayor of Atlanta, a congressman, and United States ambassador to the United Nations. He also served as president of the National Council of Churches USA, and was a supporter and friend of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He lives in Atlanta, GA.
