Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
I'm attaching a file called "sample cover." We like the idea of a cloudy brain picture as the central cover picture. Cloudy as in, a bit blurry - see attached sample. This is what we like, but feel free to try new things and venture away from this design if you have a better idea.
Also, the author's books all use the same deep red color. We want to use this deep red color again in this new book cover. The cloudy brain image should be deep red. You may have to design your own brain image, I'm not sure if such a deep red cloudy/blurry brain image exists in stock photos?
Here are the other books written by this author, so you can see the red color we want to use again:
You can also see the types of covers we like, by viewing these covers above.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
Black and red. See links to author's other books for the shade/hue of the red. You can experiment with other colors, but the red MUST be the dominant color.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
Well, since red is the dominant color, we don't want any colors that wouldn't go well with red. You decide. Make sure the red (same as author's other books) is the MAIN color. Don't go crazy with other colors, maybe a little here and there. See author's other book cover links for examples of what we like.
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
clean, professional, simple, sleek, medical, reliable, important, BRAIN, etc.
How will you use the print design?
Will be a book cover. Used on Amazon, our website, printed catalog, etc.
I will need the final files created with A FEW different spine widths for different printers.
What content must be included in the print design?
I'm attaching some files with the text that must be on the cover. Including book description, author bio text, endorsements, and a few other things.
Also attaching files for the following:
-2 logos must appear on back cover, relatively small
-author bio pic
-you come up with our main image - a red, "cloudy / blurry" brain image (see attached sample)
