Bat Mitzvah Clubs International
What do you do?
We provide a fun-filled and fulfilling program for public schooling girls who are approaching their 12th birthday (known as Bat Mitzvah) 'coming of age'. Consists of monthly club meetings with lots of fun, food, and friends...with meaningful insightful discussions, activities, crafts, games and trips as part of discovering 'who i am,' giving the girls a great feeling about themselves, empowering them to be confident, proud jewish women; exploring their heritage, history, customs, identity, etc. This program addresses all of a young teen's needs at this pivotal time in their lives, while imparting to them morals and values in a way that they love it. We facilitate the Club Leaders user-friendly attractive materials, and we enhance the Club Members' experience by creating exciting educational/fun materials. Exclusive to girls - moms are sometimes invited! - this is a club for girls, starring girls, run by girls. We are global and aim to get the attention of all modern 11-12 year old girls who are jewish, but know absolutely nothing about their jewish identities. See us on the web at www.batmitzvahclub.com.

Describe the target audience for your print design
Busy youth club Leaders - female - ranging from ages 20 - 50 yrs - need to run very successful Clubs for young tween girls - need to impress the modern schools, potential funders, and communities with high end professionally designed and prepared materials that they use. Typically, the leaders address the average American-style young teen whom we are trying to influence with better values than what they are getting from today's pop culture.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
1. we 'get' their issues! we understand exactly what the leaders' issues that they have to address with the club members, are! we know what they need to impart, we know how they should impart it, we know how to inspire the leaders to do their job really well.
2. we want them to be very proud of these publications, we want the book to look like it is an award-winning book!
3. we want the book cover to capture the essence of what it's all about.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
i cannot describe this. i can answer questions, or say 'yes' or 'no' to various designs that i am shown. if you have anything in design to run by me, to get my reaction, which will help you understand what i like - please do so.
VERY IMPORTANT: SEE ALREADY EXISTING CURRICULUM 'ROLE MODELS FOR REAL' - THIS BOOK COVER HAS TO MATCH, RELATE TO THE CREAM-COLORED VINYL (LEATHER LOOK) BINDER OF 'ROLE MODELS' which you can see on the Role Models for Real page at www.batmitzvahclub.com and see the attachment. The Role Model's cover is very plain - but somehow this new cover has to relate to it even in a small way, just to show that they are both part of a larger Curriculum Series.

Some denim might be a good idea, am not sure.
I don't have any specific color requirements, but will know more as the design develops.
(I included my full catalogue of other products, just in case it helps to see some of the other items.)

This book is part of a curriculum series for club leaders around the world.
What content must be included in the print design?
"The BMC Essentials: Bat Mitzvahs and Beyond" followed by subtitle: Guiding Girls Into Adulthood with Grace, G-d and Giggles.
images - or design elements - that's your call! Don't use anything typically Bat Mitzvah or Jewish, such as Torah, Star of David, or anything like that.
Don't emphasize the word 'giggles' - it's a minor description here. The book is not about giggles, the word is here just to lighten it up a bit.
Some logo variations attached.
