LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We're The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI for short). 2010 is our year - we're launching the Centre and some fantastic projects across Australia.
We're pretty excited about Bold Ideas. Better Lives. It's our Social Innovation Challenge to all those people out there with a great idea for how to fix social problems (it could be anything from ageing to disability, youth disengagement to climate change). We'll be asking people to submit their ideas to our challenge and working with them (and eventually a final shortlist) to develop their ideas into feasible projects. What's more there's $1million up for grabs to implement their project and a whole host of capacity building partnerships too. So it's a pretty amazing opportunity to have big impact.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a postcard to promote the Challenge to potential entrants (it will be one of three we will be printing about the Centre and different projects we're working on).
We just need the front of the postcard to be designed - we've got all the general text for the back and can tinker with it to make it match in with the front design.
Full colour or black/white is fine. Text, graphic or image based.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Possible entrants: this is a mix of entrepreneurial individuals and community organisations/public sector actors already working in social issues.
We want our target audience to think we are edgy, thoughtful and professional and that the Challenge is an exciting opportunity to make a definite impact addressing a social need.
We've got a design savvy target audience - so we're looking for something witty, contemporary - dare we say 'innovative'?!!
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
No must haves but please do not focus on the 'Australian' side of it - no wildlife/maps of Australia etc unless you find some funky, contemporary reason for it to be on there.
The tagline "Bold Ideas. Better Lives." can be used but it's not a must have.
