LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We want to create a tri-fold brochure to raise awareness and tell people what we do. We'd like to feature several of the areas we think highlight our service to the community.
Our website: http://charlottesvillearts.org/
We don't have a logo at this point, so feel free to use text or your own creative discretion for how you feature our name.
Piedmont Council of the Arts exists to sustain the arts as an essential part of the high quality of life in the Charlottesville area.
PCAs vision is to serve as a nexus for all things arts-related in our community. To build this nexus, we provide services with and for artists, arts organizations, and arts educators, and we help them serve the community at large by liaising with local and state government entities.
Our programs and services encourage access to and awareness of creative and cultural experiences. Piedmont Council of the Arts:
Promotes artists, arts organizations, and cultural events in the region by providing web-based resources, hosting celebratory arts events, and co-sponsoring community cultural events and projects.
Coordinates programs in partnership that educate citizens about the arts, increase access to the arts, and provide forums that address arts-related issues in our community.
Advocates for the arts by creating a unified voice to encourage arts support at local, state, and national levels and by drawing connections between the arts and community.
A 5013 nonprofit organization, PCA was founded in 1979 and has evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of Central VAs arts community.

PCA is the designated arts agency of Charlottesville and Albemarle, with outreach services to Fluvanna, Greene, Nelson, Orange, Staunton and Waynesboro.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
we need a brochure to tell the story of what PCA does. You can use any part of our mission, but we want our brochure designer to have total creative control over what that looks like, but here are a few pieces of key info we would like to include.
Our featured services mentioned in the brochure:
Website resources include the PCA Arts Blog, Arts Calendars, and Artist and Organization Directories. The Arts in Your Inbox email shares upcoming events with thousands of community members. PCA provides free web-based promotional services for artists and arts organizations, both on the website and in The Arts in Your Inbox.
Forum for arts related exchange and collaboration. The program brings organizations, artists educators, and community leaders together to develop strategies for strengthening the arts in our community.
Rising Star Award Celebration:
Celebrate the achievements of high school students to receive PCA's "Rising Star" award. The event showcases youth talents on a community stage, joining them together with community leaders and established artists.
Law & The Arts Workshops
Partnered with the Virginia Bar Association Young Lawyer Division, PCA holds a series of legal seminars entitled "Law, The Arts, & You" covering topics from business formation to arts negotiation.
PCA hosts Art Drinks! on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, enabling informal networking, idea sharing and the opportunity to socialize around a common arts passion.
One or two featured quotes:
Peter Krebs, PCA Member and Charlottesville artist):
"As a central, uniting entity, PCA brings together many types of artists and art-lovers with a wide range of expertise that they willingly share. We all benefit from their efforts. PCA is a major reason why my family and I chose to relocate to Charlottesville."
"The Law and the Arts workshops provide an invaluable resource for artists: detailed knowledge in a crucial and specialized field that would be difficult (or expensive) to obtain otherwise, delivered in an informal setting where specific questions are welcome."
Lots of visuals:
