We offer a summer camp program for kids ages 8-17. We offer a variety of camps to choose from each week so kids can create their own schedule and feel like a grown up student in the process. The program is branded as Activ8. The logo is attached.

Describe the target audience for your print design

The main target group for this program are kids 11-14 years old living in Columbus, GA & Phenix City, AL (90 mi south of Atlanta). Target group is split 50/50 girls & boys with a design preference toward boys. Household income 50k +. Camps cover interests that include science, art, sewing, technology, math, theatre, dance, sports, history, language, and more.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

1) Activ8 camps are fun, exciting & the "in thing" to do.
2) Our slogan is "Genius at Play".
3) We want to use a "Super Hero" theme in a cartoon style format.

Style and Concept

What print design styles do you like?

We like the magazine cover style, animated (cartoon) style, and designs that use a lot of contrasting elements. Our cover design from last year was http://issuu.com/csuced/docs/activ8_2012.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

We like bright, kid friendly colors that work with the interior colors PMS 185 & black.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?

There are no colors that should be avoided.

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

fun, exciting, kid cool, hip, cutting edge (we want kids to feel like these camps are "the place" to be)

How will you use the print design?

This design will become the front and back cover of our summer camp catalog.

The top half of the back cover must be left empty for the return address and mailing panel.
