Describe the target audience for your print design
Web savvy 16- 40 year olds. Needs to have winsome appeal to older generation in the future.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?
Friendliness- People are keen to meet each other.
Individuality- Cartoon characters that can be adapted. For instance you would be able to choose what trousers, hair, eyes, face the cartoon has.
Style- A unique image.
Start Up- Suitable for a savvy web start up audience.
Trust- Need to be able to trust the different characters.
Lovemarks- Need to be able to fall in love with the look and feel.
Style and Concept
What print design styles do you like?
The same idea/concept as the Nintendo Wii or the Xbox Characters, where people can choose their own characters. However, also want them to be more lifelike, so that when people are choosing their own character they can easily produce it. Like the Julian Opie style. Like Vector Portraits. Like the comparethemeerkat - so cartoon character, but with the ability to be able to personalise.
What colors do you want to see in your print design?
Green, though any really. Background of site is green, but will include any colour.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?
No restrictions
What adjectives should best describe your print design?
Friendly, cute, loveable, personable, unique, individual,
How will you use the print design?
The characters will become central to a new website we will be launching. There will be a range of them along with a range of accessories. There is likely to be a lot of ongoing design work that will come out of it, with additional people and accessories to be created.
What content must be included in the print design?
I want two characters- a man and a female. I want to see how they will be personable, and how they will have their own personality. We would look to make a range of people once we have found the initial concept we like. Therefore, it needs to be created that we will end up with about 100 variations, and so therefore should be easy to re-create and replicate without ridiculous cost.
