What is the title or subject of your presentation?
Trends and Needs in Data-Driven Campaigning
What do you do?
We scientifically test new and better ways to motivate Americans to vote.
Do you need a design for slide template(s) only or a full presentation?
Slide templates, which probably means:
1) title slide
2) all other slides
How many slides do you need designed?
Just two -- a title slide, and then a template for all the other slides. We will then take all the content and put it into the other slides.
What is your industry?
Government and Municipal
Describe the target audience for your presentation.
Funders -- either from large foundations or individual donors -- who are accustomed to giving away large amounts of money.
What 3 things do you want to communicate to your audience through your presentation?
1) We are serious, respectable, professional.
2) Our new projects could be game-changing and have big impact.
3) Giving us money is a safe and smart investment.
How do you intend to use this presentation (print, live, web, etc.)?
Printed copies; in-person on-screen presentations; and possibly a few webex / online presentations.
Style and Details
What specific information must be included in the design?
We should try to incorporate our logo, which can be found at https://analystinstitute.org; but whether it appears on the title slide or on all slides, that's up to the designer. Also, though we don't have any graphics on the slides now, we may want to include some. So the design should be able to accommodate us putting in charts, photographs, etc. (which may mean a monotone / white background) It also should be able to include some pull quotes or quote boxes.
See the attached files for a draft version of the presentation; it has no design elements except for our logo, but the text is pretty close to final.
What character, tenor or spirit does your presentation need to communicate?
We are data scientists who use cutting-edge analytics to help improve politics. We are NOT flashy or sales-y; we never want to oversell ourselves or over-promise on results. But we want to look professional, and we don't want to be as dull as an academic journal. Our slides are short, concise and clear, not wonky and boring.
What colors do you want to see in your presentation?
Yes. Our current color palate can be found at https://analystinstitute.org, but we don't really need to stick to that. We should include our logo, and thus have a color palate that works with the logo (which is green).
What colors do you NOT want to see in your presentation?
None come to mind.
What presentation designs do you like?
We like presentations that are clear, concise, with some graphical elements and not very much text. But i can't point to anything I love; if I could, I'd just rip it off myself! :)
Do you want to include additional info?
We would like the files to be delivered to us as PPT or PPTX files, so we can just take the templates and plug our content right in.
