LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
This box is for 'Sari Saheli' - which translates to, "Indian Dress Friend". If you've ever worn an Indian Sari, you'll know how difficult it is to put on correctly. The pleats are particularly difficult, and many women will often come to parties early to put their dresses on together, since it can require multiple people.
Our tool, the Sari Saheli, enables one woman, girl, or infant (not really) to do the pleats for her own Sari. No more teamwork needed!
If you like SAT analogies:
COMB :: HAIR
SARI SAHELI :: SARI
To learn even more about us, you can check out our website (which is still under construction):
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The graphics for the box in which Sari Saheli will be sold.
We've attached a real-size, 300 DPI template into which you can place your graphics. Or you can make your own - as long as we get the artwork for each side.
We've also attached an example that we don't like that much, although it gets the functional job done.
IMPORTANT: Many parts of your design will need to be placeholders. For example, you don't have the photo of a woman holding our product in front of her dress. The attached Placeholders file includes sample graphics that you can use for your design. We will replace the placeholders ourselves after Final Review.
These boxes will be stacked on top of each other, on sale in major retail stores as well as boutique fashion shops.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience is:
'fashion-conscious women of Indian descent'
We'd like them to think we understand their Sari-related troubles. We'd also like them to think we're bringing to the world a product that will (hopefully) become as ubiquitous as the hair-straightener, shoehorn, or toothbrush. Every household item had to start somewhere.
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
1: http://www.burrellgraphicdesign.com/imag...
This Loreal box is fairly close to our envisioned packaging. We want a photo of a woman in a sari in a prominent place on the front of the box. It also has a young but professional/elegant look, which we would like.
2: http://www.thedieline.com/.a/6a00d834525...
The creativity of this box is really appealing. Although the shape is not like ours (which will be a traditional box - not a bag-like creation), the creative color palette and imagery are something to strive for.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
The attached Requirements file lists the various components that are needed *somewhere* on the packaging.
