LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are the manufacturer of a razor blade sharpener, which is used to prolong the life of your razor blades. The product itself is a silicone plate that removes dirt and oil from the surface of the razor blade. This dirt and oil normally causes the razorblade to go dull quite quickly but with RazorPit, you can use the same razor blade up to 150 times. I have attached photos of the RazorPit.
To clean your razor, apply a layer of shaving foam on the horizontal surface. Then press the blade of the razor itself down onto the soft surface. This must be done with a constant pressure onto the silicone-surface. Then you push the razor against the conventional shaving direction while maintaining the pressure on the silicone-surface. This will ensure contact between the mat and the blades, thereby cleansing the dirt and residue of the surface. Push the razor over the mat 3 to 4 times. Rinse both Razorpit and razor under running water, and place the razor in the Razorpit, blade-side up.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a new packaging for the product. Currently we have a packaging which is already on the market, but we would like this packaging to be updated or possibly be reinvented.
The message that the packageing needs to convey in some form (Text, photos or illustrations):
What the product is and does - A razorblade sharpener that prolongs the life of your razorblades.
How the product does it. - I have attached rough sketches of how this could be illustrated (illustration1.psd, llustration2.psd, illustration3.psd)
How to use it - I have attached pictures which can be used in that form or be used to make illustrations. (usage1.psd, usage2.psd, usage3.psd)
Compatability - Works with all cartridge and disposables razor
Environment - That RazorPit is a very environmental product. I have attached our current packageing to give an example.
You can choose from two different possibly solutions models:
- A new and updated design of our current design with our current cardboard packaging. (Old design attached (currentpackaging.pdf)
- A completely new design
As the product and producttype is quite new to the market, it is important that the front of the packaging sells the product.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Male shavers from 25-70 years of ages. Exactly the same as Gillette.
The product will be sold in lots of different retailstores. So the front has to sell the product.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like the metallic look and the use of the lines to enhance text and the product. Furthermore we like the way the illustration is made.
We like the idea of patterns as a background and to show the product
