What do you do?
We manufacture and sell non-alcoholic cocktail blends packaged in glass bottles.
We sell these to licensed bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs. Our blends are combined with alcoholic spirits by bartenders to create beautiful cocktails quickly and consistently. We use only the best ingredients we can source no artificial colours or flavours.
How many sides of the package require graphics design?
List the size requirement(s) for your package graphics design
The maximum size of the label should be: 11cm high and 6.5cm across but you dont have to use the maximum dimensions. That's up to you.
We think that a rectangular label might be the easiest shape to work with as we will be printing in house, and applying labels on bottle by hand initially.
What is your industry?
Food and Beverage
Describe the target audience for your package graphics
Age: 18-35. 60/40 Female/Male. London based. People will encounter our bottles in pubs and bars. People will mostly be drinking our cocktails on the weekend, often when they are celebrating and having fun.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your package graphics design?
Quality of product.
Bold, fun, playful and imaginative!
We want customers to see their cocktail poured from the bottle and be convinced that their drink is going to taste amazing. It may be said that the first taste is with the eyes and the bottle (and label) will be the first encounter between the customer and the drink they have just ordered!
Style and Concept
What package graphics design styles do you like?
Simple. Clean. Bold. Colourful.
What colors do you want to see in your package graphics design?
The label should be black, or have a solid colour background (ie not be transparent). The use of bold and bright colours is encouraged. baby blue, turquoise, red, orange, purple, pink. We would suggest using three colours maximum. Black, white and one bright colour but use your creative license here!
What colors do you NOT want to see in your package graphics design?
Please do not use icons of cocktail glasses and/or cocktails. I know that its tempting, but it usually has a bad effect and makes the product look cheap! Also, dont create a Hurricane epicentre, vortex/imagary etc!
What adjectives should best describe your package graphics design?
Simple, clean, bold and imaginative. If our brand were a person, he/she would be described as playful and imaginative.
What content must be included in the package graphics design?
The first product we are launching is a Hurricane Punch. This will be mixed with rum to make a rum punch. I have attached a photo of the bottle with the liquid inside. Also attached is the finished drink.
Also attached is our logo. I would prefer if our logo was used without the mountain image - ie just text - in the same font, or another similar font.
(Hand Crafted) - optional
Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
The biggest obstacle we face is simply that customers in bars will order a cocktail and see the bartender pour it out of one of our bottles. This takes away some of the craftsmanship that you might see when you order a cocktail in a bar. We are confident that our blends taste amazing, but the bottle that it is poured from, also needs to look amazing.
The final design I will choose will be used across multiple flavours so I want a simple, clean design led by bold and imaginative fonts that I can use across various flavours, simply by changing the colours around, and changing the nane fo the drink. I hope that makes sense!
