What do you do?
Deliver-It is a regional shipping company based in Southern California. We provide Overnight and Same Day delivery throughout the Western U.S. We pickup packages direct from our clients place of business, or via one of our area "Collect-It" boxes.
How many sides of the package require graphics design?
List the size requirement(s) for your package graphics design
Our project is to design a new Express Envelope. We are looking to put graphics on a new "portrait style" expandable envelope that our clients can use to ship. The approximate size of the envelope is 10"x13"x2'. There needs to be room to place a clear adhesive window (on backside) that is 9.5"x6" so it can accept a folded 8.5"x11" label printed from a standard printer. (8.5"x5.5" when folded).
What is your industry?
Describe the target audience for your package graphics
Our clients include payroll companies, Pharmaceutical companies, Law firms, e-commerce companies, architects, real estate/mortgage/escrow companies, etc.. Any business or person who receives a package is a potential new client. As such, we would ideally like to use the package as a branded touch point, with the potential of attracting others to sign up for an account.
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your package graphics design?
Flat Rate up to 5 pounds
RFID tracking - the "i" in Deliver-It" includes a radio waves that signal our advanced tracking capabilities. Instead of using RFID, the message can be advanced or state-of-the-art tracking. I will leave it up to the designer to use their imagination. Perhaps a satellite reference or image beaming to a car??
Regional Overnight Delivery (Same Day delivery can be referenced as an optional service, similar to the delivery times that we want to list on the back.

Do you have additional info or links you'd like to share?
We do want our packaging to stand out and be different. While we like a clean look, an alternative to explore is to perhaps show a fun theme of sorts. Not sure how creative you can get with just yellow and black (and white).
As an idea, it might be interesting if the appearance of a wax seal was seen at the fold of the envelope when sealed. Just an idea. Not sure if it would work or look too juvenile.
