LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Vin is a charity bicycling team. We participate in the Bike MS tour (www.msbike.org), riding between 60 and 200 miles in 2 days in September. We have a passion for cycling and love of great food, wine, and friends.
Team Vin is a fun team. Team Vin is a winning team. Team Vin is open to everyone!
We are currently the #1 fundraising team out of more than 100 teams in the Eastern NC Bike MS. We expect to have 60+ team members and raise at least $40,000 for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
The Appetizer: Our Logo:
We'd like a simple logo. Perhaps the "i" is a wine bottle cork - or just bold caps such as the font used in one of our favorite Cinzano posters: http://www.fulcrumgallery.com/Leonetto-C...
The logo should include the tag line "in vino veritas".
Don't spend a lot of time on the logo - focus on the jersey.
The Main Course: The Cycling Jersey:
We need artwork for a cycling jersey. We want our jerseys to be unique, colorful, and artistic. The team logo should appear on the front, back, and sleeves.
Our jerseys will be dye-sublimation printed by Champion Systems
The jersey artwork will need to be designed to fit a pattern of pieces (front back, sides, shoulders, collar), each of which needs art. There are two patterns to choose from: one that includes sides (which could be a contrasting color with the team name) and one without sides. Use which ever pattern you prefer - but we need art for each pattern piece.
START WITH ARTWORK for the front/back and get feedback before you spend time on sides, shoulders, collar (those can be very simple).
Use Pantone colors and provide the exact Pantone number for each color. Convert all text to outlines or let us know all the font names.
The only other caveat: we need room on the back triple pockets, sleeves, and collar for sponsor logos.
The jersey artwork patterns can be found here:
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Cyclists and wine lovers. We want our cycling jersey to stand out, provide team branding, and help us recruit team members with it's "wow" factor.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We like Cinzano art nouveau poster style and art deco poster style. We are looking for the majority of the front and back to be art with a contrasting background.
Themes might include bicycles, wine bottles, labels, corks, bunches of grapes, semi-nudes. Here are some samples of art we like:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Black background (we'll be riding in the sun all day).
