Business Info

What does your company do?

The current name for the company is HB Hospitality (named after me - my maiden name is Hinesley and married name is Bishop).

HB Hospitaity is an invitation only community of independent luxury resorts and hotels and corporate meeting and event planners. We put on events (think high end miniature tradeshow and executive conferences) to connect our hoteliers to very qualified corporate event planners who are looking for new venues to host their off-site meetings, retreats, and conferences.

The company is now 5 years old. As we are growing (I now have a team of 5 employees) I need the company to be less about me (or HB) and more about the community of hotels and planners. I am developing an online community and my goal is to sell memberships to the community to both the hotels and the planners.

The planners can go online to learn more about the hotels and resorts I represent and send request for proposals for their events to those hotels through the "portal."

Hotels can view meeting profiles of the planners in the community and determine if they are a good fit their hotel and if they want to solicit their business.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

I will accept a .com with an acceptable variation on the exact name

My customers are the independent luxury hotels and resorts I represent. Most are 5 star locations - like Pebble Beach, Sea Island Resort, Ocean House, and The Broadmoor.

We will also begin to have corporate meeting and event planners who utilize the types of properties we represent as a customer - when they pay for memberships to the online community.

We are naming the tiers of membership to the community:
- Club (level 1)
- Concierge (level 2)
- Clef D'Ors (Level 3) - means keys of gold and is an honor to distinguish concierges of the highest level.

Do you have other info you want to share?

I am disrupting the current business model which are organizations like Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) that are hired by the hotels to be a national sales organization to represent the property to ALHI's book of customers. ALHI gets an annual retainer from the hotels plus are paid 10% commission for any new business they book for the hotels. We are commission free

I want the online portal to create transparency between the meeting planners (customers) and the hotels (vendors) so they can cut out the middle man and create more value for each other. We strive to make direct connections for our members.
