Software & Technology
About Your Company
My company, not yet named, is developing web-based software to help freelancers manage their business and client projects with one dashboard. As a full-time freelancer for the past eight years with over 8,000 students and coaching clients and the author of two traditionally published books on freelancing, I am a recognized industry expert with unique insight on and access to my target market and their needs. To date, I have interviewed two software developers for their advice on the technical aspects required to launch an MVP, interviewed 25 advanced freelancers on their perceptions and challenges with current software solutions, and developed the first draft of a survey for my 4,000 subscriber email list to learn more about what they need. Current solutions are clunky, expensive, and very difficult to set up. None of them have project management and client onboarding/payment/offboarding in the same place.
My audience are solopreneur freelancers (i.e. designers, writers, virtual assistants, developers, voiceover artists, social media managers) who often manage 5-10 client projects at once in addition to the "back end" of their own business (admin, marketing, billing & finances, etc.) They make $1000-15k per month working for themselves by selling these services to clients.
Dubsado is a client management platform for creatives and freelance professionals.
Asana is project management software that allows freelancers to assign out subprojects to other contractors or clients, but does not send out invoices, contracts, testimonial requests, or proposals.
Creative should NOT use
I'm fine with puns so long as they're not too goofy.
My tone of voice is very professional but persuasive in convincing readers that we get their needs and are committed to helping them.
Top 3 Things
Smart, tech-driven, professional
Here's my personal business site: www.betterbizacademy.com I'm well-spoken, organized, and a coach for freelancers already. I'm a straight shooter and fast talker. I want people to get that I already know the existing solutions and that I built this for me, too, because of my pain points. Kind of a "by freelancers for freelancers" concept
