Community & Non-Profit
About Your Company
We are planning the first national gathering around UNs Global Goals in our Scandinavian home country. The event will be a mix between a boutique music & arts-festival (think Instagram-worthy and 'bring all your friends for a lifetime-experience') and a democracy conference, complete with key note talks, public debates, bilateral meetings between organizations.
The event may come across as memorable festival for the senses (music, art displays, communal dinners and late-night bonfires and lantern-lit bars), but most importantly it is a 3 day venue for developing a personal involvement and further engagement in the most current and relevant issues within sustainability. Our aim is that the guests will be presented for talks, thoughts, showcases, demonstrations, tools, choices, arguments and debates, that enables them to take action towards creating a more sustainable environment when they get back home, one step at a time.
The event will take place at a historic estate right on the coastline - now run as a private organic farm - with 1.400 acres of forest, buildings, lawns, fields and roads for the event to unfold.
The event will take place in Fall 2020 and every year after that.
Our target audience is a broad range of adults (young and older) who consider themselves interested in sustainability (as covered by the UN Goals) and wants to learn more about what they can do to support this development. The audience follow the news, but are not necessarily yet engaged in any kind of mobilized or collective effort for e.g. CO2 reduction or the likes. But they are aware, intrigued, maybe even alarmed and want to engage futher - they just don't know how.
50/50 men/women. Ages 18-65. Urban areas. Educated and employed (if not still studying). They are knowledge workers, consultants, creative industries (media, arts, design), public workers (teachers, nurses, doctors etc), entrepreneurs/small business owners, students of higher educations etc. They are interested in society and to some extend feel that they can influence this. They are resourceful and affected (mild or much) by the warnings about climate change. They sometimes or all the time choose organic food and they are starting to think about whether they should stop flying to Thailand on holiday. They read books, watch movies, may have Spotify playlists and also appriciate the good things in everyday life: Quality food, music, social gatherings, a nice sweater or a hike in the forest. They own at least one bike.
The national democracy meeting
We wish to evoke emotions. Name must be memorable and able to last for years to come, maybe a bit 'grand' (not quirky). Must work on SoMe, merchandise, even the odd tattoo. Name does not have to be related to the subject (sustainability) but *could* be related to the effect we want the event to have (rising, mobilization, change in behavior). Name *could* have a poetic, organic, storytelling element. Name has a pre-determined sub-title that translates to "The National Sustainabily Meeting", so 'festival' could be a part of over all name (but does not have to be).
