Business Info

What does your company do?

Ivy League Proofreaders is an online editing company that focuses on academic work. Customers are typically students or teachers (high schoolers, college students, graduate students, assistant professors, etc.) who have work that they need edited (admissions essays, papers, dissertations, books, etc.). They submit these documents through our website (www.ivyleagueproofreaders.com). We employ proofreaders to edit those documents and then return them to our customers. Our focus is on delivering the highest quality editing in the business. Our proofreaders are all graduates of top tier universities. We have three basic levels of service which range from the inexpensive (for basic grammar and spelling checks) to high end (for help with flow, tone, etc.). We would like for our customers to think of our company as the go to source for help with all of their writing needs.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

Yes, we need the .com to be available.

Style and Concept

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Collegiate, but serious. Helpful and friendly, but intelligent and hardworking. Extremely good at what we do. Just a little elitist.

Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?

We like "ivy", but want to move away from "ivy league".

Do you have other info you want to share?

Also note that we will be offering more than just proofreading/editing services in the near future, so something more generically academic service-oriented would work. We are changing our name as part of a revamp of our service.
