What does your company do?
My site will host a free online game, which is a sports stock exchange for buying and trading sports teams and players, and in doing so competing in trading competitions against your friends.
It will be a bit like the Hollywood Stock Exchange (www.hsx.com), but for sports and principally focussed on competing against your friends.
The site will have a range of international sports, including football/soccer, cricket, rugby, NFL, basketball etc. and will operate much like a stock exchange - you will be able to view price charts for players/teams and buy and sell them to make a profit.
The game will be very focussed on competing in trading competitions against your friends, so it will have a high level of social interaction built in.
During the beta phase, the site has been called FootySX (www.footysx.com), however, feedback from early users confirms my views that the 'footy' part is too suggestive of football and misleading as to the nature of the site, which will in fact cover lots of sports (and potentially other events, such as elections e.g. US Presidential elections).
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
I'm only interested in a .COM url, which I can register straight away and don't have to buy from someone in the secondary/extortion market.
Naturally, I'd like the domain to be relatively short and something, which can be easily spoken to someone (e.g. on the phone) and they can fairly quickly and easily workout how to spell it and find it on the web.
While it's not ideal, I'm still open to excellent suggestions for contractions of correctly spelled words e.g. tumblr.com, although I'm conscious that this style is probably becoming increasingly cliched.

Describe your customers
The common element will be that players are interested in sports. Often they might also be interested in share trading or perhaps fantasy sports, which gives them the interest in the competitive/stock market side of it.
They'll also be Facebook users, as the game will have a high level of integration with Facebook to facilitate the social/competitive aspect of the site.
Of the current user is base, 90 % are males aged between 18 and 35. Most users have indicated that they will use the game on a weekly basis when they'll come and review their portfolio of sports stocks and make a few trades.

Style and Concept
What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?
The site's design will be clean and professional, however, I want to convey a strong element of fun, because it is of course a game.
Please have a look at www.footysx.com for an indication of the look and feel that I've been going for to date. This is probably a bit serious on it's on own, however, the site will be cleanly designed.
I've also attached an early screenshot from the test site.
Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?
Not particularly.
Do you have other info you want to share?
Not at this stage thanks :-).
