LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
I'm in the process of creating a startup that will be a non-profit dedicated to raising money for various charities by rounding up people's online purchases to the nearest dollar. For example, the next time you go to Zappo's to buy some shoes and your order comes to $55.41, we'll ask if you'd like to round your purchase to $56.00 and donate the 59 cents to charity. We'll work with countless online properties to integrate this system and the system will collect the money into a central fund that we'll manage and donate on an ongoing basis.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a name. And not just any name - a great name. I know everyone says this when they start a company, but we want to make this a household name. So it needs to be very simple, very clear and very good. The moment of checkout is the golden moment for all online retailers so we don't want to make people think or, worse yet, make them wonder what we are, whether we're trustworthy or generally give a second thought to the whole thing. So a short, catchy name would be perfect.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our target audience is both the companies who we'll be approaching to participate in the program and the end-user who we'll be asking to donate. In both cases, the name just needs to be simple and outstanding. It doesn't necessarily need to be entirely literal (e.g. Roudup or something like that) but it should be related to what we do in some way In fact, if anything, the totally literal names might be kind of boring but let's see what we come up with. Be creative!
WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:
I don't have any examples of names that I love but I think I've said it a few times, so maybe I'll say it once more for good measure - I like names that are simple and clever. Keep in mind, this will not only be a name for the product but it's also our entire brand and company name. And we all know the importance of brand. So let's find something great!
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:
I don't think there's anything that we absolutely must have.
