What does your company do?
Our company promotes local events through our website and in weekly mixes on our YouTube channel. We also throw small to medium sized music based events and help others host their own shows.
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
Yes we require either a .com or .ca. It would be great if both were available, but one of them will work just fine.
What is your industry?
Entertainment & Sports
Describe your customers
Ages 16 - 30 that go out to music based shows on a regular basis. Shows are often low in cost -- $5 - $30.
People who like to keep updated with the scene. Know what's going on and keep updated with new music.
What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?
It would be nice if it portrayed the fact that we're in the music business-- it can be generic as we will be providing other services such as dj bookings and artist promotion.
Style and Concept
What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?
This is the theme we're using for our website: http://demo.duotive.org/duotive-fortune/
We're hoping for an edgy, clean, professional, and underground feel. We love quality graffiti and quality tunes.
Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?
We like the word bass and have tried a few variations with bass in it. We've already run the idea of Bassic, which would have been great for the double meaning but it had a few issues:
1) People may have pronounced it like the fish...
2) Domain name is taken
Do you have other info you want to share?
We love clever advertising and concepts behind names. Double meaning names would likely hit the top of our list. Using Bassic as an example, we can then take that and create all of our print materials and website to reflect a basic look.
