What does your company do?
I'm an actor / producer forming a corporation to blanket all of the projects I'm involved in.
For the past decade, I've also owned and operated a web design company that will now fall under my new corporation.
Ultimately, I need to name the corporation something that will blanket BOTH my entertainment career and my design business -- under one brand.
On the entertainment side of things, I'm a comedic character actor, a stand-up comedian, a voice-over artist, and I also write and produce my own web series, films, etc. I've been on hit television shows such as HOUSE M.D., BONES, PSYCH, etc.
On the design side of things, I create visually-stunning, functional web sites for a wide variety of clients - many who are involved in the entertainment business: production companies, start-up businesses, films, actors, etc.
My design business is currently named "Ben Giroux Design." In an effort to expand this business, I'd like to re-name this to something that sounds like a larger design firm -- because that's where I'm headed.
So the project is two-fold:
- NAME 1: a name for the overall entertainment & design corporation, and:
- NAME 2: a renaming of the web design business
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
Yes, I'd like a .com domain to be available for both company names.
That said, I'm willing to be flexible on this if the names are out-of-this-world amazing (and some other domain iteration is available).
What is your industry?

Describe your customers
On the entertainment side of things, I'm a comedic actor who's currently working in sitcoms and mostly television comedies.

What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?
I want the corporation name to be brief, memorable, and quirky. Since this is an S-Corporation, "Inc." will follow the name.
I've also always loved the idea of the "underdog," or the feeling that the "little guy took on the big bullies and dominated." I like the feeling of "conquering the impossible" and "dreaming, imagining, creating."
For the renaming of my design business, I'd like the name to be brief, creative, and bold. It should elicit a feeling that my design services are elite and professional.
Many of my web design clients are celebrities or well-known companies, so I'd like the name to show I have a premiere web design business and the prices fall in-line with that upper-tier of clientele. Pixel perfect design and hand coding -- I write all my CSS from scratch.
At the same time, my web business has been successful because clients get one-on-one personal attention throughout the creative process.
I'm also unique from larger design firms because I do all of the design AND all of the coding. Because the same guy is in charge of both realms, the client can rest assured that everything on the site will work together seamlessly.

My entertainment company isn't really a business that has competitors, and my design business is fairly unique as many of my clients are involved in the entertainment industry.
Style and Concept
What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?
NAME 1 (Entertainment company):
Quirky, bold, tiny underdog rising above big adversity. Since I deal with lots of comedy, I'd definitely like to entertain humorous submissions as well. Make sure to check out the acting reel above, it will give insight into the kind of projects I work on.
NAME 2 (Design business):
Elite, professional, creative design. It should feel like a larger design firm rather than a solo freelancer. Something imaginative and exciting.
Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?
For both company names:
I love plays on words, merging two known words into one new word, and something that would make for a fantastic, memorable logo. Merging two concepts into a single idea is a great way to go.
The names should be easy to spell, easy to remember, unique, and quirky.
I'd love for somebody to look at the names and say to themselves, "Oh that is very clever."
Do you have other info you want to share?
I'm constantly producing new projects and designing new sites, so whoever I choose, I'd like to continue collaborating with on future projects. There will absolutely be additional work / money.
Also: please submit some details on your naming choices -- I'd love to hear the concepts behind the names.
Lastly, have fun!
