Business Info

What does your company do?

Founded in 1995, Microstaff ITs primary purpose is to educate information workers and technical professionals to make them more productive. We teach information workers how to be more productive by teaching them how to really use application software tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe products, etc. These tools are available to them, but most people only really know how to accomplish the most basic tasks, not use them to their fullest to really become more productive.

We try to do the same thing with technical professionals, teaching them/updating their skills to the latest versions of programming languages and databases (Microsoft), as well as how to administer the network infrastructure software (Active Directory/Exchange, etc) most commonly found in businesses today.

Most of our students are working professionals whose employers are paying for this training, in order to update their skills to the latest version of the software they are already using, or just make them more productive. Most of these students will come to training when their employer has made a change to their environment, i.e. upgraded to a new version of software, moved to a new software platform as their standard, etc.

We do have a subset of students we address that are career changers. They usually have some type of undergraduate degree in a non-technical field, and come to us in order to gain technical proficiency to move into an IT role, or possibly something like a project manager. Those students will usually take several classes from us, to build their level of knowledge from Novice to intermediate level, so they can gain employment.

Some companies need more than just classroom training when implementing new software/technology, and for them we offer consulting services. This also helps keep our instructors sharp by allowing them to use the products they are training others on, in real world environments.
