LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a payments company that enables consumers to pay for online transactions with cash. We've built a very complex payment back-end with an easy-to-use interface. While the members of our team are light-hearted and fun, in general we've found that consumers want a straight-forward brand when it comes to their payment options (PayPal is about the liveliest we've seen; think "Visa", "Mastercard", Discover, etc.). We have several payment products that we'll post separate projects for; but we need a company name for our own corporate identity.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We would like a short, memorable company name that we can us on our website as our corporate identity. Our payment products will have separate names that may or may not be derived from the company name. Our products enable people to make a remote transaction and pay for it with cash. For example, you might be shopping on a website that sells parts for old Ford Mustangs. If you want to buy something from the website but you 1)don't have a credit card, 2) don't have a bank account (and therefore can't use PayPal) or 3) don't want to enter your personal financial information for privacy, security or budgeting reasons, you can use our system to pay for the auto parts with cash at a local store. Once the cash payment has been received at the register, the store signals us and we signal the website to send the Mustang parts to you.
It's important that the company name embodies several qualities:
No one else offers anything exactly like this. There are companies like Western Union, that allow you to wire money to people (and they charge you high fees to do so). There are also prepaid debit cards (which also charge a lot of fees). We are different in that we don't charge the high fees they do and the consumer purchasing process is simpler. For example, if you see something you want to buy online but you don't have a credit card, you would have to go to a store, buy a prepaid debit card, then go home and order the product. With our offering, you would see something you want to buy, print a slip or send a barcode to your phone, then take it to the store and pay for it with cash. Instantaneously, a signal would be sent to the online website and your product would be shipped to you.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Anyone who either doesn't have a credit or debit card or prefers not to use it for privacy reasons (they don't want the charge showing up on a statement that others might see), security (don't feel comfortable entering their financial information into a website) or budgeting (they don't want to use credit because they only want to spend what they have).
Primarily, the audience will be:
-the "unbanked": people who don't have bank accounts
-people who can't get credit
-very private people
These are people who haven't been able to leverage the benefits of the internet because they don't have a credit card. By "benefits" we mean the ability to find the greatest selection of items, the ability to get the best price, and availability of ratings of items and vendors.
