Style and Concept

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Neologisms are welcome.

We'd prefer if the name sounded French but was comprehensible to english speaking people. We are not closed to any other option.

The name must be memorable, convey class and hopefully state what the gallery does (aka: wearable art)

Are there specific words or phrases you do not like?

no humour
if we need to spell it out to spell it out, it's probably not a great name.
no voluntary spelling mistake to make a new word out of an existing one.

Are there specific words or phrases you like?

we like and bought art-a-porter.com but couldn't trademark it in the US. Some museums and galleries have weird but memorable names such as Saatchi or Guggenheim. Zara has a four letter word that sounds great and noble. Not sure if that helps...

Do you have other info you want to share?

It would be much better if the name started with an A. We had a logo made for Art--Porter and we'd like to keep it. It's an A and represents the tip of a pencil.
