OUR PARENT COMPANY

For the past 25 years, we have provided telecommunication services for students living in on-campus residence halls at college and university campuses across the nation. (Students are the end-users but our primary customer is the IT department at the school.)

OUR NEW COMPANY

Now we want to start a new company to focus on OFF-campus housing.

The services will be the same as the parent company, but it will be marketed to private dorms, fraternity houses, sorority houses, new residential construction and any student housing facility that is adjacent to a college campus.

Unlike Time Warner or Comcast, we only focus on college students. Students are unique internet users - they live in high density housing, demand fast wireless and reliable service for all of their mobile devices (like iPhones, tablets, rokus, etc.)

We also use direct fiber connections to provide a network connection -- NOT cable modems or DSL boxes.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

Yes - A good .com URL will be essential.

We want to convey a spirit of technological leadership, best-in-class service and innovation. At the same time we want to convey that we are established, proven and reliable.

Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?

We would prefer nothing that is too specific to academia or student life. We also don't want to sound like a technology startup. We definitely want to avoid sounding inexperienced or untested.
