What does your company do?
Our parent company has been in the coupon business since 1988. We mail 1.5 million coupon magazines out every month in several major markets across the US.
We are launching a new FREE coupon website for consumers. This website is geo-targeted by local county, and features self-managed, free coupon offers from local merchants. Consumers can print coupons from home, email them to friends, or share them via social media...even save paper and redeem via mobile phone. Merchants featuring coupons on the site can manage their own offers in real-time, view consumer statistics, respond to consumer reviews, grow their own email list, and even host their customized coupons on their own websites or social media pages.
This is NOT a Groupon clone. While we do have a daily deal product, we have over two decades of successful experience providing print-based free coupon offers from local advertisers to local consumers. Our website will be a similar free coupon model, but will also allow our merchant advertisers the opportunity to manage their own coupon offers in real-time, while not charging the consumer in advance. This gives the advertiser control of their own marketing...which in turn provides a better consumer experience and a more loyal consumer.
While the product is already built, and we have 100's of advertisers already signed up for our launch in June, we do not have a marketing name for the product yet. We are looking for a consumer-friendly name for our website that we can use in all forms of advertising.
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
Yes. It is imperative that a domain name is available as a .COM.

Describe your customers
Our consumers are people that like getting discounts. They may have tried a daily deal type company, but had a "so-so" experience. They are looking for FREE LOCAL coupons that they can print from home...or even use via mobile devices. They are typically savvy female shoppers, age 25-45 looking for savings to local restaurants, salons, dry cleaners, home services, etc...but are not necessarily willing to pay in advance for these savings like a Groupon type model. They are very social media savvy, and will share great savings with their friends.
What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?

RetailMeNot.com (national coupons)
CouponClipper.com (local coupons)
Valpak.com (local coupons)
Style and Concept
What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?
We would like to be able to have some sort of "savings hero", or mascot that represents the consumer product. We want it to be fun, memorable, and catchy. We have the name FreeCouponHero.com registered and even developed a brand around it, but decided against it for trademark reasons...but we still liked the overall direction of the theme. We have included an image in this brief to provide some direction. It does not have to be a super hero theme, but the idea of "saving you from paying retail price" is appealing.
Are there any words or phrases you especially like or hate?
LIKE: free, coupon (it would be great to include FreeCoupon in the domain name)
Do you have other info you want to share?
We have included an image of a the initial idea for the product name in the brief. If you want to see the BETA product in demo stage, contact us directly and we will send you a link to the site.
