About Your Company
Our company will develop a blood filtration system targeting circulating tumor cells (CTCs). Such cells are the root cause of metastases which in turn account for over 90% of cancer deaths. Our technology uses magnetic nanoparticles that are specific to CTCs in combination with a blood filtration device (similar to dialysis device). The device will be used at hospitals.
- medical doctors (oncologists, surgeons)
Blood filtration using magnetic nanoparticles - focus on malaria
Cell separation using magnetic nanoparticles - not for therapeutic applications
CTC count in blood for diagnosis purposes
Blood filtration using magnetic nanoparticles - focus on sepsis

Nothing with "tech" in the name or "medical", "biotech" and the likes.
We want the company to appear competent and professional but also convey some warmth since we are tackling a socially important issue.
Top 3 Things
Competent, modern, warm.
Initially we used "Parithera" as a name. It was based on "pariter" (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pariter) and "thera" for therapy. Pariter was chosen because we wanted to convey the fact that we want to work with the patients and for the patients. Initially, we wanted to create a social enterprise. This is too complicated in this field but we would still like to communicate our mindset (not profit-oriented and willing to have a positive social impact).
