Business Info
What does your company do?
This company does not yet exist but will be a consulting/advisory group focusing on entrepreneurially minded organizations. I want to help organizations both start and/or get back on the best footing for potential long-term success and organizational health.
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
yes, I would like a .com URL
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Consulting and Professional Services
Describe your customers
entrepreneurs (owners), small to mid-sized organizations, owners who are open to growing and adapting personally (coachable/teachable). The age or the organization can be on the spectrum of: preparing to launch (with business plan) to a young company 1-5 years old. It is important to me that the client has a strong value system and wants to operate their company with high integrity with a value for people. Age is not as critical since entrepreneurs come in all ages, but I am in my mid-30's and would likely appeal most to entrepreneurs in my general age range. Any industry is game - the business and people side of any company is similar.
What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?
wise: seeing the big picture and having unique insight to see what others may not see, finding the simplicity in the complex in order to find solutions
relevant: relevant skills for today's market, relevant insight into their needs
empowering: I want to work with my clients to strengthen them and set them up to tap into their success potential - get in, address the issues, equip the client, and get out...to let them fly.
List the names of your top three competitors
This is tough because consulting practices are so varied. www.venturearchitects.com is similar in nature. I will elaborate further down how we are different. But I do like the feel that they portray - clever, knowledgable, sophisticated. We are on opposite coasts though.
Style and Concept
What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?
contemporary, sophisticated, clever, professional, comfortable, approachable, personal, current, savvy, collaborative
Are there specific words or phrases you do not like?
I don't like advisory. I don't like names that aren't clever and spell everything out like ABC Consulting.
Are there specific words or phrases you like?
I have tended to like "The ______ Group" names - they often feel more contemporary, but still professional. But I'm definitely not locked into that. I am a former architect in my previous profession and liked the idea of playing on that past association, since what I do now is really "architecture" for businesses rather than buildings.
Do you have other info you want to share?
I like word associations but just haven't been able to come up with one that fits my model. A friend started this company: www.theonramp.com and I though it was clever and worked well for her business idea. www.venturearchitects.com has a clever play on the word architect, which is how I found their site. They focus more on the funding and document preparation side, but my business will have similar concepts related to the start-up client. I also like names that create a dichotomy between 2 seemingly unrelated ideas like: manifest potential.
