We’re a new apparel brand that helps people unwind, relax and feel authentic (feel they can be free to be themselves).
Our clothes are casual - not for office wear, but for post-work evenings, casual Fridays, weekends and vacations.
Our clothes help you look good (modern twists on classic casual wardrobe essentials), feel good (premium quality, super comfortable - the most comfortable casual clothes in your wardrobe), do good (created using the most sustainable practices).
We’re launching our 1st product soon - a super comfortable shirt that men aged 25-45 will love (Gen Y & Gen X). Their favorite shirt to wear when they want to unwind and relax after a long day at work or on the weekend. A shirt that when you wear, lets you let go of the stress of life and feel free to be yourself. A shirt that evokes the feelings of freedom, relaxation, authenticity.

Gender: Our 1st product targets men aged 25-45 (Gen Y & Gen X). However, we envision the brand growing to accomodate Womens' apparel also - so it is important that the brand name is appealing to both genders.
Lifestyle: Career-minded but prioritize balancing life. Care about quality, creativity and understand classics yet expect classics to be modernized and created with future-looking sustainable practices.
Our initial target audience consists of
1. Gen X men (35-45) who are mid-career, successful and who crave the feeling of freedom and independence.
2. Gen Y (25-35) who are early-career, who are looking for a fresh new forward looking brand that meets their needs for comfort, quality and sustainability.
Income: Middle class and above
Not direct competitors as they are focused on dress shirts (as opposed to casual).
Not direct competition yet as they are a womens brand. They are re-defining classic, straightforward, and effortlessly sexy design.
They also target modern twists on classics - however they are primarily focused on Women's clothing. We are starting with Men's clothing.
Creative should NOT use
Negative/negative sounding words - we want the brand name to be positive. e.g. we don't like the brand name SimplyGreyLife (grey sounds negative).
We do not want our name to sound like any of the brands we have mentioned - Everlane, Madewell, Proper Cloth etc.
Here are some brand names & taglines and what we think about them:
Reformation - Being naked is the #1 most sustainable option. Reformation is #2. (Awesome name & tagline. The name evokes what they stand for - converting the old into new; and the tagline clarifies the value of being the most sustainable option).
Everlane - Modern basics. Radical transparency. (Pretty good name - give you the feeling of being classic/basic. Great tagline that succintly describes what they stand for)
SimplyGreyLife - All you need is less. (We don't care for the name - it sounds too negative. But we love their tagline as it perfectly describes what they are about - a lifestyle that is about less stuff)
We want to come across as a brand that enables people to feel free and true to themselves when they wear our apparel (people feel authentic when they wear our clothes) . When they choose our clothes, they know that the quality is great (the clothes feel fantastic) and the clothes were created sustainably - one less thing for them to worry about).
Suggestive (as opposed to descriptive), fun, modern, blended & memorable names are appreciated.
