What does your company do?
This website is the world's first recommendation management system. Its goal is to enable each of its users to spread, track and organize word-of-mouth recommendations.
Having dinner with someone who mentions a great website you should check out? Hear about a new band on a blog that you want to scope out later? Want to know what your foodie friend recommends for a good place to take a date out in Los Angeles? This site is designed to be there to help you manage all of this. It lets you vouch for the things you love and queue the things you want to try - things that were vouched for by people you trust.
The site cuts through the noise. Tired of reading through blog entry after blog entry trying to find cool stuff? Reading through tons of twitter posts just to find a few gems mentioning something great you should try? How about all those friends on Facebook recommending things related to topics that you could care less about? This site is designed to overcome all of these issues. Tune in to what you want to know about and tune out from the rest.
Lastly this site lets users build a reputation for having good taste in things. You are held accountable for vouching for something. Its not about reading through 100s of reviews from people you dont know. Its about reading a few from people you can count on. People whos testimonials actually mean something to you.
Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?
Yes a .COM url must be available. Nothing with hyphens in it. Dropped letter spellings of names (such as Tumblr) are ok as long as its just one letter (as opposed to something like rcmnd) and doesnt confuse the user on how to say the name (such as rdio).
