Business Info

What does your company do?

The company were starting is a joint venture between two companies (www.orbisvigor.nl and www.spaarneprevent.nl).
Both companies are affiliated with medium-sized Dutch hospitals. We provide health- and productivity services in a B2B-market.
Our services include online health assessments, health screenings, lifestyle management interventions, online coaching, workshops etc. All aimed at improving the health and productivity of the employees of our clients. We use high-end tools for health risk assessment and online coaching. Were not a science company but we do implement services that are based on scientific research.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

Yes. We would prefer .nl but .com would do also. the name doesn't have to be in Dutch but should at least be understood by dutch people. If some kind of pay-off would be included in the name, that can be in english or dutch as well.

Target Audience

What is your industry?

Our industry is health and productivity management. On the serious side of the business (so no group hugs, alternative medicine of magic potions that will make you lose those extra pounds without having to leave your couch).

Describe your customers

We have three kinds of customers.
First, there are the people (mostly employees) who use our services. They range from top executives to nurses to bankclercs to blue collar factory workers. They range from people with serious health problems to very healthy people. They might view our services as an extra benefit provided by their employer but in some cases feel the employer needs to mind his or her own business and stop mingling in their personal lives. They need to be informed about their health status, the consequences that come with and in many cases need (constant) stimulation to change their behavior.
Second, there are those who pay for the services. These are the owners or HR-department of the company or organization that buys our services. They might be small- or medium sized business owners or HR-manager of multinational companies. Some are looking for a way to offer some meaningful extra benefits to their employees but most are driven by the companies bottom-line: reducing absenteeism and increasing productivity by helping employees lead healthier lives.
Third, there are the health insurance companies. They pick up a piece of the bill (in some cases) and are very important to us because by partly paying for our services the lower the threshold for our potential clients.

What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?

First of all it needs to give some kind of indication of the business were in. This could be in some kind of pay-off for example.
Second it needs to do some things that might seem to be a paradox. To the payers it needs to signal that we mean serious business, in a scene that the soft area of health management is aimed at improving the companies bottom line (reduce sick leave etc), we use scientific tools etc. On the other hand we need a maybe more playful look and feel when communicating with the users of our services.
Third it would be good if in some way the company name would also reflect the fact that the roots of the new company are health care, rather than in consultancy or occupational medicine.

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Excitement: our main aim is to get people excited to work on their health, motivation
Sense: we do what makes sense and nothing else, even if a client feels otherwise. This means that medicine and science play a big part in what we do
No window-dressing: we do whats necessary and will have an impact, and nothing else
Serious: we link directly to hospitals, with one big difference: we take care of prevention, they take care of cure.
