What does your company do?

PRODUCT OVERVIEW: We sell a cost-effective patented building foundation system which protects the home from damaging caused by active soil (clay soils that expand and contract with wet or dry conditions) giving the homeowner the assurance of a worry-free foundation.
HOW IT WORKS - The mechanism is installed on top of piers under the concrete slab at the time of new construction. When the concrete hardens, the mechanisms elevate the slab or foundation off the ground (like a low cost pier and beam) and isolates the foundation from active clay soils or even from light earthquakes and eliminates movement in the house.
WHY ITS A GAME CHANGER: When the home is built suing our foundation system, the homebuilder provides the homeowner with a worry free foundation that performs and out last any other slab on grade foundation. Typical issues like cracking brick, doors that stick, and costly foundation repairs are virtually eliminated. This engineered foundation system is the next generation in the design of foundations which started with reinforcement using re-bar, then to post-tension cables, and now to the advancement of the elevated slab system.

Our slab elevation mechanism is sold to Home Builders, who are reluctant to pay anything extra, even though our product virtually eliminate future foundation concerns. SO we are targeting our PR and advertising towards the Home Buyer. We want the home buyer to create market demand by asking the builder for our product as he/she is shopping for a new home.

competition is actual alternatives:
1. build a lower cost foundation, sell it to a buyer, and let them worry about it in the future
2. build a much more expensive pier-and-beam house
3. replace bad (active clay) soil with good fill dirt that doesn't expand or contact

I'm buying the class and quality of a S-Class Mercedes in my new Ford Focus

NOTE: currently this product has been widely deployed in $1M-$2M+ Custom Homes, we are attempting to bring it down to the high-volume $300K-$500K production home market.
. The builder can separate itself as a Quality Builder when using this next generation engineered foundation system by selling the value add to the home buyer.

Are there specific words or phrases you do not like?

The current name of the company is SlabTek. This appeals to engineers, but maybe not the consumer home buyer. slab sounds boring, foundation has multiple meaning

Foundation, assurance, protection, quality.
. We dont want to spend a lot of money on rebranding a generic or unique name, but would like the name to define the benefits of owning a home or building with our engineered system.
