Impromptu
What do you do?
My app gives "random reminders" to people - so say you want to buy your girlfriend flowers, you set a reminder for "about once a month". Every month or so it will randomly send a push notification and give you a little prompt to buy flowers.
It could be used for anything you need to do "every so often" but not predictably (water plants, check on stocks, call your parents).
I imagine the presentation to be very similar to a simple to-do list app.
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Internet
What 3 things do you want to communicate to your audience through your app?
I'd like it to be clean, simple and a little fun (it's an app about randomness, after all!)
Style and Details
How many app screens do you need designed?
I need one-and-a-half screens :)
I need the main screen which lists reminders. I'm expecting people will only have 2-3 of these.
The main screen should have a title bar with "Impromptu" in it, and an add button on the right (see the "Vine" app). It should then list each reminder.
I'd like the reminders to have a contracted and an expanded state, so they can be edited by tapping them so they expand, then changed, then saved by tapping a "save" or "done" button (or if there's no room for a done button, just by tapping somewhere else).
Reminders have four attributes. They all need to be shown when it's expanded, but some can be hidden when it's collapsed (you can decide which you think are most important!)
1) A name
2) How often they are triggered ("About once a week", "About once a month" and "once every couple of months")
3) What time of day they are triggered ("Morning", "During the Day", "Evening").
4) When it was last triggered (12th April or 4 weeks ago are both OK)
I'd like people to be able to add reminders in the same way they edit them (I imagine tapping the add button would just add a blank, expanded reminder on top). I also need a "delete" button for when people swipe left to delete.
The "half" screen I'd like is an "intro/tutorial" screen to be shown the first time the app launches, just pointing out the different elements and giving example reminders (e.g "buy flowers for my wife"). Hopefully this will be really similar to the main reminder list.
Do your app designs need to be a particular size?
I'd like the app to fit the iPhone 5 Screen.
