Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

Business Name

Apticure, LLC

What do you do?

We aggregate, organize, and deliver medical device data to healthcare’s front lines.

What is your industry?

Healthcare and biotechnology

What 3 things do you want to communicate to your audience through your app?

This app *belongs* in a hospital. It's futuristic (think Star Trek) while being simple and clean.

How many app screens do you need designed?

The app has 2 sections, a modeler and a catalog. There are approximately 8 different major graphical elements. Please refer to the uploaded screenshots ( for details.

We would also like an app icon designed that goes with the theme. Our company logo is attached to this description.

Do your app designs need to be a particular size?

Yes. Please use iPad dimensions. Exact simulator screenshots are included for you to download and examine.

What mobile app styles do you like?

Clean and simple. Apple-like. This app belongs in a hospital - it should be very basic, hygienic, and if possible - elegant.

What colors do you want to see in your mobile app design?

Shades of white, gray, blue are all good. You have some freedom, but imagine this app being used on a white iPad in a hospital by a surgeon or technician in white or blue scrubs.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your mobile app design?

Avoid dark colors (black, brown) and colors that are too strong (red). These can be used, but should be used sparingly.

What adjectives should best describe your app design?

User-friendly; efficient; minimalist.

Thank you for all your great submissions. We are going through your designs and trying to get feedback to you as quickly as possible. We have decided to extend the deadline by 1 week, to allow for more collaboration on this project.

In helping us decide on the best design, it would help us if we could see your artwork for the following:

1) The wireframe (rings) design in an empty format. Most of you have done this, thank you.
2) The wireframe design loaded with some of the products, This means an example showing an outer catheter, inner catheter, and lead, with possibly a wire or two thrown in - see page 11 of the interactive design document for an example.
3) The selector (pull-out table with products listed, showing positive or negative signs for feasbility) See page 14 of the design document for an example of this.

Thank you, and good luck.

For your app icon submissions:

1) We are looking for an icon for the appilcation "APTIREP-CRT". The app should have a some reference to the heart, cardiology, and/or size/fit specifications. We plan to have future products with different medical specialties, so we envision an icon that can be modified for other specialties as we create them.

2) Please do not use any text on the icon.

3) For a full list of Apple requirements, please reference the following page:

Thank you!
