LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Zymeaux (pronounced Zy-mo) is a New Orleans based mobile marketing startup.
Check out a video promo here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NkeaihwM...
The color scheme at the end of this video is not necessarily the theme we have in mind so don't feel obligated to use green/blue or yellow.
Our tagline is "Local Grown Mobile Marketing" This is a theme that could certainly play a role in your design concept.
The name Zymeaux itself is an amalgamation of the words Zydeco and Mobile. The -eaux ending is the popular Cajun "O" and brings together the rich zydeco and cajun influences of our region with our burgeoning tech community. The winning logo and identity concept should do the same: cutting edge, professional, mobile, yet incorporate elements of Zydeco culture.
Green is a fairly common New Orleans color and with the Local Grown tagline a potential branding option but we are open to pretty much anything. That said, there are a good deal of logos that use a black and red theme in our industry so we would probably like to stay away from those two color combinations.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a text logo and also an icon that will be used in all branding material, from the website to print pieces, business cards, etc. So high res is a must and separate files for 1. the icon, 2.the text logo, 3. the tagline, 4. the three together would be appreciated.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Small and mid-sized businesses locally and regionally, most likely those that cater to the 18-34 year old demographic: Bars, clubs, fast food-chains, casual dinning, retail shops.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
The text should be sans-serif based while the icon could perhaps lean toward an iPhone APP icon.
Zymeaux with an uppercase Z or zymeaux in lowercase, but probably stay away from ZYMEAUX in all caps.
See the jpg files attached of logos we like as a starting point but again, we are looking for creativity so don't feel you have to replicate these concepts as is.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
With a name that starts with the letter "Z" we understand it may be difficult to resist a Zorro-esque icon treatment. Please try to refrain from that urge. Also, if you are unfamiliar with the New Orleans market there are already two other companies that have a Z featured prominently: A resturante chain called Zea (http://www.zearestaurants.com/site.php) and another marketing group called Zehnder (http://www.z-comm.com/home/).
