LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I am a small video production company in NYC that specializes in multi-camera live concert shoots, sporting events, live presentations and interviews. I also do installations of video camera and projection systems in venues and I project live visuals on screens behind bands and DJs during live performances. I produce, direct, shoot, edit and perform. I am equal parts technical, creative and organized task master, as well as a pleasure to be around. Part of what makes me different than my competitors is that I do business in a fun, slick, hip, professional yet informal way. And I love to be funny. I love funk, soul and hip hop music the most. It is the foundation. But my favorite band is Phish, as they are an amalgam of all music. They bring many elements together, musically, spritually and community wise. Music rules my life and inspires the video work I do. I want my logo to reflect my personality, which in turn guides the way I do business.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a logo for my website, business cards, letterhead, invoices and clothing (t-shirts to give away as promotional materials). I want the logo to be simple, yet engaging and memorable. Not too busy. It needs to grab the eye and let my personality shine through. I want the logo to be FUNKY somehow, yet get across the fact that I work in a creative, visual medium. I want it to be modern, sleek and futuristic, but also feel classic and iconic. Ultimately I make pictures, but am driven by music.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

My audience consists of creative professionals and corporate clients. I want them to think of my company as creative, innovative, professional but a little different. Funky in more ways than one. More fun than the alternative. More of a pleasure to do business with than what they're accustomed to. The name of my company, Word Up Productions, is slightly ridiculous, as I'm a white guy from the suburbs, but people take me seriously because I do a great job and I look good doing it. Know what I mean? I keep it funky but operate as a consummate professional.

WE LIKE THESE EXAMPLES:

I am uploading a picture of my old business card, which consists of a stock image from a website. I like the color scheme of it and how it looks a little sleek and futuristic, though it doesn't hint at what business I am in, which I want my logo to communicate.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR PIECE:

The logo must have "Word Up Productions". Colors I like are: blue, purple, black, white as the main colors, then other colors as you see fit.
