Given that women sport coaches are a statistical minority at every level of sport competition in the US, we are starting a national research project to track and document occupational employment patterns of women coaches. This project is a replication of a famous longitudinal project at the college level by Acosta & Carpenter (www.acostacarpenter.org, but we dont like their website or logo or colors). We anticipate our project to be an ongoing, groundbreaking, seminal body of work and wed like a great logo to go with the research that will brand our research.
This project is a collaborative research study of two universities 1). the University of Minnesota, Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport (www.tuckercenter.org) and 2). Mankato State University. Although we don't want th Universities to be reflective in our logo. We want the logo to stand alone.
What we need: We need a logo with the project name and a mark that will help identify and brand our research project moving forward. It will be used on promotional materials, twitter backgrounds, websites, reports, and educational materials.
Target Audience: academics, policy makers, coaches, athletic administrators, researchers, students
We dont want this: NO PINK. Not sport specific or have any sport equipment (i.e., soccer ball, basketball, whistles. Clip board). No "women's symbol". No Comic Sans font or derivatives thereof that look childish or script-based fonts that look "feminine" or are hard to read. No woman's body or silhouette or abstract people figures. No earth goddess-esque figures. No mascots. No college athletics fonts.
