LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We are a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation organization located in S.E. Virginia on the Chesapeake Bay and rehabilitate orphaned, displaced or injured wildlife - including mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles. We are in a major migratory fly-zone and receive a lot of migratory birds and raptors. We also operate a wildlife emergency hotline 24 hours a day though which many of our rescues are reported in. Secondarily, we strive to educate the public about our wild neighbors and what we do, our main target audiences are children and those who bring in the wildlife for rehabilitation.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
A logo that represents our group and conveys what we do. This will be used on everything from our website to stationary to business cards to t-shirts to fund-raising materials.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
The general public. We want everyone to be aware of what we do and who we are. 25 - 55 something professional adults are mostly the ones who call our hotline and bring in the injured wildlife. This metro region we live in has 2.4 million people. Water is very prevalent from the bay to the beaches to the rivers to the wetlands that are inland. Our target audience is probably 6 - 60 years of age.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
We have an extremely wide and varied selection of designs that our Executive Board likes, and it is fair to say that it is wide open. The colors should probably be environmentally related and the font fairly clean and simple.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Things that have not gone over well that were designed by members of our group: we don't want to see anything that looks like it was slapped together with clip art. We are hoping for simplicity. Also, we are hoping for something not extremely punk looking or grafitti looking. Our website is at www.wildliferesponse.org for more information about our group.
