LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
This logo is for an internal wiki for a company named Pinnacol Assurance. The wiki is a website for employees of the company to share information with one another. The wiki is the primary repository of information about our company. We often think of it as "the encyclopedia of Pinnacol Assurance."
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
We need a PSD (JPG fine for evaluation initially) file containing a logo. Dimensions must be 216 x 90 or very close to that. Background color must be white. See attached corporate logo plus our website (www.pinnacol.com) to understand our color scheme and general brand characteristics.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Our own employees. We want them to think: (a) the wiki is like a book, or series of books, full of useful information; (b) the wiki is extremely simple, easy, and pleasant to use; (c) the wiki represents the "organic" growth of information (we've thought of the metaphors of grass or leaves, for example, but we're not at all married to that concept); (d) the wiki is an extension of the warm, caring, and professional culture that employees enjoy at our company.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
None right now.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
The words: the wiki. No other words whatsoever. The word "wiki" must be all lowercase (not sure about the word "the"). Minimal or no usage of any element of our company logo, except consistent color and style (in other words, the wiki logo must not be an obvious take-off of our company logo, but the wiki logo can and probably should use the same shade of blue if blue is used).
See www.pinnacol.com to learn more about our company.
